SVN Auction Services senior advisor Chip Jones earns prestigious CAI designation
Jones becomes sixth SVN auction professional to earn industry’s top classification
Richmond, VA (April 18, 2017) – Chip Jones, a senior advisor with SVN Auction Services’ founding member SVN/Motleys in Richmond, recently completed his training at the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute. CAI is the industry’s premier training program developed by the National Auctioneers Association for auction professionals.
Jones joins five other SVN Auction Services advisors who have completed the three-year executive development program. There are approximately 860 auction professionals worldwide who hold the classification, according to the NAA.

CAI is an intensive program offering professional auctioneers with instruction and coursework in business management, ethics, finance, communication, strategic planning and marketing.
The NAA conducts CAI every March at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Jones specializes in the valuation, marketing, sales and sales management of an array of asset classes including all types of commercial and residential real estate, heavy machinery, equipment and automobiles. His position incorporates assisting with Fortis foreclosure services, Motleys’ bankruptcy services, as well as offering a full array of asset sale, valuation and management services to new customers and existing clients. Jones has more than 16 years of experience in the asset disposition market. He holds active real estate and auctioneer licenses in Virginia and North Carolina, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service and is dedicated to the auction and appraisal industry.
